Fans of Chelsea Handler’s talk show Chelsea Lately will no longer see her on their TV. Calm down. It’s just for a few months. The famous TV comedienne is to take a long expected tour across America. The “Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang” tour will kick off in March and will continue until the end of May. The famous stand-up comedian will visit 21 cities and due to the incredible demand for Chelsea Handler tickets, she extended her itinerary and will perform 34 shows, a dozen more than the intended.
The “Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang” tour will hit Chicago, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Miami, Washington DC, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Boston, Austin, Philadelphia, Houston and New York.
The Chelsea Handler tour begins on March 10, only a day after the release of her latest book “Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang”. This is her third book (the previous two, "My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands" and "Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea" quickly became bestsellers) and it mines her family, sex life, and career. There were a lot of commentaries in the press that Chelsea might be sorry for a lot of things she wrote in the book concerning her intimate life, things that do not apply any more. The TV host recently broke up with her boyfriend of three years, Ted Harbert. She had stated earlier that she mentions him a lot in the book.
But with her busy schedule Handler will have little time to think about personal troubles like how is she to continue working for her ex. She will have to perform sometimes twice a day which will be exhausting and mind emptying enough.
In her typical style Chelsea Handler commented that she makes a living making fun of Hollywood stars. Now with Chelsea Handler touring show she is going to make some fun of herself and will enjoy this with her devoted audience.
Every Chelsea Handler show will feature a single opening act by a guest comedian. The list of guests includes Josh Wolf, Guy Branum, Heather McDonald, Jo Koy, Brad Wollack and Chris Franjola.
