Does anyone here have a job?

I work part time at a movie theatre. The pay is terrible, but I love the environment. I work with all of my good friends, movies are wonderful and it's just overall a fun place to work. (most of the time) It does get difficult sometimes with the busy weekends and such, but I prefer it when we're getting hit with huge crowds. So yeah, as you can tell I pretty much am happy with my job. Wink

Nope.  I'm sort of retired, though I am thinking of looking for some work.  I used to program, and I can't say it was fun, or that I enjoyed it a lot, but I did love the challenges.  It was like having a new puzzle to solve every day.

That's a good trade to have picked up though. There a lot of free lance jobs out there for programmers. I should really learn more.

I was interviewed for a job at my local cinema a couple of weeks ago. Turns out they had over 30 "interviewees" and only hired 2!

Odd. Keep trying though, working in a cinema is tons of fun! At ours, generally anyone who isn't a dick in the interview will get hired.

Yeah, in retail. It's pretty boring, I can usually get some reading or internet time in there though. I do have one gigantic threat though: Attacks by old ladies angered at overpriced greeting cards.

Hahahaha!
I recently quit retail after eight years.  I couldn't take it anymore and have set out on my own as a writer.
