What are you reading now?  I'm slogging through the last of David Brin's Uplift novels.  I loved the first three, but the last three are hard slogging in a way.  I'd love to have been the editor.

I'm also dipping into a book of O. Henry stories.  It's a ripoff publication done in India.  There are lots of spelling mistakes and places where the wrong form of a word is used.  I think, to speed up the typing, someone read the book out loud while someone else typed it, without understanding what was being read.  The errors add an extra bit of humor.

But I'm going back to mysteries and police procedurals for a while.

I have the book Virtual Light sitting on my desk for about 3 weeks now.  People Magazine called it - "Both Exhilarating and Terrifying".  I might start it today at the gym while riding the bike.

"Magnificat" by JULIAN MAY.

It is the final instalment of the most wonderful, exciting and remorselessly detailed yet dynamic and plot-driven series of science fiction novels I have ever read.

After reading Julian May's novels, I have found it impossible to read another science fiction book again and truly enjoy. May really is the final word in satisfying science fiction.

Do yourself a favour; read her very first, The Many Coloured Land. You will not regret it.

Well, after finishing all six of the Uplift series, I won't be reading any science fiction for a while.   I'll remember the recommendation, though.  When I finish the O. Henry short stories, I'll move on to a travel book, Frances Mayes Bella Tuscany.  I'm going to look for a little genre variety.

Since Christmas I've been blazing through the NetForce paperbacks. I'm on Springboard right now. They aren't amazing, but they're enough to get through the day.

I am going through a book written by O' Henry. The book is titled - 100 short stories.  Its' a composition of small stories which strikingly resemble real lives.

I just finished reading Card's Ender series and am now reading some terribly dry business books, sprinkled with a daily dose of "Love is the Killer App" by one of the heads of something at Yahoo.  It's quite nice and fuzzy for a business book:D

right now? I am reading a thread on a forum asking me what i read at the moment.
No seriously, i  read novels written by Jeffrey Archer, they are great and i guess this is what i am going to do all the summer.
It is good to know that people are still reading, despite the fact that they have now different activities to keep them busy.- like internet.
